Meetverse ("Platform") prioritizes child safety at the highest level and enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation ("CSAE"). This document publishes the Platform's externally available, dedicated child safety standards as required under the Google Play Child Safety Standards Policy.
This policy supplements the Meetverse Terms of Service & Membership Agreement (sections 5.1 and 5.3) and the Privacy Policy; in case of conflict, the more protective provisions of this document prevail.
1. Zero-Tolerance Statement
Meetverse strictly prohibits any content, behavior, message, image, video, text, symbol or interaction that depicts, encourages, facilitates, normalizes or could be construed as promoting child sexual abuse or exploitation. The prohibition covers:
- Any material (CSAM) depicting real or fictional persons under 18 in a sexual context,
- Any sexual communication directed at minors by adults (grooming),
- The exchange, trade, promotion or linking of child abuse material,
- Service, event or course listings that encourage commercial or sexual exploitation of children
with no exceptions. These standards are published in alignment with the WeProtect Global Alliance Model National Response framework and INHOPE principles.
2. Age Restriction and Child Protection Measures
- Use of the Platform is permitted only for individuals who have reached the age of 18.
- Persons under 18 may register only with written (including electronic) parental consent and an active parent/guardian account on the Platform; otherwise the account is terminated immediately.
- Event organizers and content creators undergo identity verification (KYC) through the Didit verification infrastructure, including age and identity confirmation.
- No products, events or courses targeted at children are offered.
- Profile images, event covers and user-generated content are subject to automated moderation; publishing of imagery containing minors alongside adult contexts is prevented.
3. Content Moderation and CSAM Detection
Meetverse implements the following technical and operational measures for the detection and prevention of CSAM:
- Hash-based matching: All uploaded images and videos are matched against known CSAM hash databases (PhotoDNA-based).
- Automated content classification: Images, videos, text and message content are scanned by classifiers specifically tuned for child safety.
- Manual review: Content flagged by automated systems or user reports is reviewed by a trained moderation team confidentially within 24 hours, with immediate action on critical reports.
- Account flagging: Accounts associated with CSAE are permanently banned along with all related content and device fingerprints; re-registration attempts are blocked.
- Messaging oversight: Keywords and phrases associated with CSAE in private messaging are flagged automatically and escalated for human review.
4. User Reporting Mechanisms (In-app and Email)
Any content, account or behavior suspected of CSAE may be reported through the following channels. The reporter's identity is kept confidential and is never disclosed to the reported party.
