1. Parties and Definitions
1.1. Parties
This Terms of Use and Membership Agreement ("Agreement") is concluded electronically between Meetverse ("Meetverse", "Platform", "Company", "We") and the user who registers on the Platform ("Member", "User", "You") pursuant to the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098, the Law on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce No. 6563, and the Electronic Signature Law No. 5070. For users located in the European Economic Area, the relevant provisions of EU consumer and digital services law are applied in good faith.

1.2. Definitions

| Event | An organization offered via the Platform as a live online, in-person or on-demand format. |

| GDPR | EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). |
2. Subject Matter and Scope
This Agreement governs the conditions under which the User may benefit from the services provided through the Platform, the mutual rights and obligations of the parties, and provisions concerning intellectual property, confidentiality, limitation of liability and dispute resolution.
Meetverse acts as an "intermediary service provider" within the meaning of Article 2/1-(d) of Law No. 6563 between Hosts and Participants for the provision of event services. The Host is primarily responsible for the performance of the event.
3. Membership Conditions and Account
3.1. Membership Conditions
- Members must be at least 18 years old. Persons under 18 may register only with explicit consent of a legal guardian (including via electronic means) and on the condition that the guardian holds an active account; otherwise the account will be closed.
- The User accepts and undertakes that the information provided during registration is true, current and complete.
- A natural person may open only one account. Opening, transferring or selling multiple accounts is prohibited.
- E-mail and phone number verification is mandatory.
- Sign-in via Google, Apple or similar social accounts is supported; in such cases the applicable third-party terms also apply.
3.2. Account Security
- The User is personally responsible for the confidentiality of credentials and active sessions.
- All transactions conducted via the account are deemed to be performed by the User unless the User proves otherwise.
- Unauthorized access, loss or theft must be notified to Meetverse without delay.
3.3. Suspension and Termination of Accounts
Meetverse reserves the right to restrict, suspend or permanently close an account, with prior notice where reasonable and immediately where necessary, in cases including but not limited to:
- Breach of this Agreement, the Community Rules or related contracts,
- Submission of false, misleading or fraudulent information,
- Activity contrary to applicable law (including TPC, DPL, Law No. 5651, TCC),
- Harm to other members, harassment or suspicion of fraud,
- A written request from a competent authority,
- Non-fulfillment of payment obligations.
3.4. Membership Termination and Account Deletion
- The User may request account deletion at any time via "Profile > Settings > Delete My Account" in the app, or via
https://meetverse.org/delete-accounton the web. - This deletion path is permanently accessible in accordance with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play account-deletion policy.
- Accounts with active reservations, debts or ongoing events are not deleted until those obligations are resolved.
- Once approved, the account is deleted within 30 days at the latest; data subject to legal retention (tax, invoice, log records, etc.) is anonymized and retained for the statutory period.
- Account deletion is irreversible.
4. Services
Meetverse offers the following services:
- Creation, management and discovery of events (live online, in-person, on-demand),
- Ticket sales, reservations and QR-code-based event check-in,
- Payment collection through PCI-DSS certified payment infrastructures (PayTR and/or iyzico),
- WebRTC-based video calls and live streaming,
- Messaging, comments, follow and social interaction,
- Subscription-based course sales, video upload, transcription and certificate distribution for creators,
- Identity verification (KYC) via the Didit integration for hosts/creators.
5. User Obligations and Community Rules
5.1. Prohibited Content
The following content may not be shared, uploaded or transmitted on the Platform:
- Insult, harassment, threats, discrimination, hate speech,
- Adult/sexual content (except for legally permitted adult events with Meetverse's prior approval),
- Any content involving or promoting child sexual exploitation,
- Materials encouraging violence, terrorism or suicide,
- Content infringing copyright, trademark, patent, design or any other intellectual property right (Turkish Law No. 5846),
- Misleading, deceptive, fake or deepfake content,
- Spam, mass advertising, phishing, malware,
- Promotion of illegal goods/services (gambling, narcotics, unlicensed weapons, uncontrolled medical/financial advice, etc.),
- Sharing third-party personal data without consent (DPL/GDPR violations).
5.2. Prohibited Conduct
- Access to the Platform through automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers),
- Reverse engineering or attempts to circumvent security mechanisms,
- Impersonation or unauthorized access,
- Ticket scalping (for-profit resale),
- Creation of fake events, fake ratings or reviews,
- Activities aimed at overloading APIs, infrastructure or service.
5.3. Notice & Action Mechanism
- Users may report any content or behavior violating the rules via the "Report" button on the relevant event/profile/message or by contacting
destek@meetverse.org. - Reports are reviewed within 48 hours at the latest; critical reports (child exploitation, imminent threats, fraud) are actioned immediately.
- Content removal and URL blocking requests under Articles 9 and 9/A of Law No. 5651 are processed within statutory timelines.
5.4. Sanctions
Depending on the severity of the violation, the following measures may be applied progressively:
- Warning,
- Removal/hiding of the content,
- Temporary restriction of specific features,
- Temporary account suspension,
- Permanent account closure,
- Notification to authorities and legal/criminal action.
6. Fees
- Membership is free of charge.
- For ticket purchases, the event fee, applicable service fees and VAT are charged; all amounts are displayed clearly before purchase.
- Commission and revenue rules applicable to Hosts are governed by the "Host Agreement".
- Subscription terms applicable to Creators are governed by the "Subscription Agreement".
- For purchases made through mobile applications, Apple App Store and Google Play rules (Section 12) take precedence.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
7.1. Rights of the Platform
All design, logos, trademarks, source code, interfaces, visual layouts, database structures and software of the Platform belong to Meetverse or its licensors and are protected by Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works. Copying, distribution or creation of derivative works is prohibited without prior written consent.
7.2. License to User Content
The User retains ownership of the content they upload. Upon upload, the User grants Meetverse a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free license to use, store, back up, translate, promote and retain such content for the operation of the service. This license continues until the content is deleted or the account is closed; however, retention may continue where required by law or where the content has been shared by other users.
7.3. Copyright / IP Infringement Notice (DMCA-equivalent)
Copyright infringement notices must be submitted in writing to destek@meetverse.org, including proof of ownership, description of the infringed work, location of the infringing content on the Platform (URL/event ID), the notifier's contact details, and a statement of legal responsibility for any false claims.
8. AI-Powered Features
The Platform leverages AI services including OpenAI, Google Gemini and similar providers for content generation, translation, transcription, content moderation and recommendations.
- AI-generated or AI-processed output is provided for informational purposes only; no guarantee is given as to its accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Per Article 50 of the EU AI Act, AI-generated content is labeled when shown to users where applicable.
- For Whisper-based transcriptions, audio data is processed only for the purpose of transcription and only for as long as required.
- Important decisions (such as cancellations, account closures) involving automated processing are finalized subject to human review (DPL Art. 11 / GDPR Art. 22).
- Meetverse is not liable for damages arising from the use or output of AI features, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
9. Limitation of Liability
- As an intermediary service provider, Meetverse is not subject to a general obligation to monitor content or investigate unlawful activities (Law No. 6563 Art. 9).
- The Host is responsible for the realization of the event, the nature of its content and the quality of services provided to participants.
- Meetverse's liability in disputes between Users is limited to the platform service fee charged for the relevant transaction.
- Meetverse is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure, including but not limited to internet outages, power failures, third-party service failures, cyber-attacks, epidemics, natural disasters, wars or strikes.
- In no event shall Meetverse be liable for indirect, consequential, lost profits, lost business, reputational or data-loss damages.
10. No Transfer of Account
The account and the rights/obligations of membership may not be transferred, sold or rented to third parties. Any such attempt may result in permanent account closure.
11. Notices
- All notices between the parties shall be served, for Meetverse, to the postal address above and
destek@meetverse.org; for the User, to the registered e-mail, phone number and in-app notifications. - Notifications under the Notification Law No. 7201 shall be served to Meetverse's postal address above.
12. Mobile Application Store Terms
12.1. General
The Meetverse application downloaded via the iOS App Store and Google Play is also subject to the respective store's terms and developer policies.
12.2. Apple App Store
- Apple's "Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA)" applies to the iOS version: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
- Apple is not a party to this Agreement but is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce this Agreement.
- Meetverse is responsible for claims of intellectual property infringement and end-user support; Apple assumes no such responsibility.
12.3. Google Play
The Google Play version is distributed pursuant to the "Developer Distribution Agreement" and "Developer Program Policies". Google is not a party to this Agreement.
12.4. Account Deletion (Apple 5.1.1(v) and Google Play)

12.5. Advertising ID and Tracking
- On iOS 14.5 and above, explicit consent is required for IDFA via App Tracking Transparency (ATT).
- Without consent, only anonymous measurement is performed.
- Similar controls are provided for Google Advertising ID on Android.
12.6. Store Privacy Labels
Apple App Privacy (iOS) and Google Play Data Safety (Android) labels are declared by Meetverse for each version release.
12.7. Removal by the Store
Removal, suspension or rejection of an update by the relevant store is outside Meetverse's control.
13. Amendments
Meetverse reserves the right to unilaterally amend this Agreement in light of legislative changes, modifications to the service or operational requirements. Material changes that adversely affect the User shall be announced at least 30 days in advance via e-mail and in-app notification. If the User does not accept the new terms, they may close their account. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
14. Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time. Termination does not extinguish obligations accrued prior to the termination date. Sections 7, 8.1, 9, 15 and 16 survive termination.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
- For Members who qualify as consumers, the Consumer Arbitration Boards and Consumer Courts are competent under Law No. 6502, with monetary thresholds updated annually by the Ministry of Trade.
- For all other disputes, the Istanbul (Anadolu) Courts and Enforcement Offices are competent.
16. Severability
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of this Agreement shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
